Nitrosamines

A class of DNA-reactive (mutagenic) impurities that can form in pharmaceuticals under certain manufacturing, formulation, or storage conditions.

A change to synthesis, raw materials, suppliers, or formulation can require reassessing whether a nitrosamine risk has been introduced or changed, even when the finished product looks unchanged.
